What A Week for KSSC

So many things happened this week for our club, and it all has been for the better. We have a much BETTER improvement coming from Flag Football. Thank you to everyone who has read and understood the rules! It showed and as we can tell everyone was having more fun and enjoying themselves. Also don't forget your favorite staff members have retired their old black shirts and have upgraded to awesome new RED ones that they love and adore so don't forget to pay them a compliment! :) 

OKTOBEERFEST October 18

Kalamazoo Sport & Social Club will be having a few booths at this event. There are 30 different craft beers. The tickets are $10 for entry and $5 per craft beer. KSSC will be having games such as a mini version of Dodgeball and Kan Jam to just name a few. We will also be handing out flyers and having raffle tickets to enter to win some awesome prizes!

We would also like to say THANK YOU to Harvey's for supplying us with ping pong balls so we can enjoy ourselves a little more with some more beer pong! What a great sponsored bar we have, they are so thoughtful! :) Also remember to bring your friends to the bar after games it is NOT just for KSSC, let them experience a little fun Sport & Social Club style. 

HALLOWEEN PARTY

Yes, that is correct! KSSC will be having their very first Halloween Party October 30 starting at 8:00 PM at Shakespeare's. Their will be a contest and awards given for the best costumes so make sure you dress up and have fun with it! We look forward to seeing you all on the dance floor!

Some new and exciting news for us, your awesome staff members will be having a meeting coming up for a possible new location for new bar and location for Dodgeball. Guess where?! Alright you'll never guess, the new Sky Zone and Library. We are very excited and eager for these meetings and will do what we can to make sure you have the best locations.

Congratulations! 

Your Season is now OFFICIAL!

Week 2 of our Fall Season has come and gone. There were ups, there were downs, and there were drinks all-around. Some of us are still undefeated, while others have experienced heartbreak with their first loss, but yet and still there are some unique teams that are gunning for that ever so coveted Dead Effin Last trophy that will be handed out at our Fall Awards Party. 

We here at the KSSC would like to give a special shout-out to all of the Monday Kickball players that brushed the rain off their shoulders to play, and then all headed out to Harvey's to keep the party going! Way to show off that awesome Sport and Social Club spirit!!

Keep it SOCIAL

The Kalamazoo Sport and Social Club is all about meeting new friends, with that being said, we throw the entire competitive aspect out of the window! This weeks Flag Football players needed a reminder to keep the brutal-ness in the NFL (ouch!). Seeing as everything we do is COED, it is our hopes that male players show respect to the female players, instead of trying to overpower them like Ray Rice..

If there is an issue at any of your fields, PLEASE call a staff member over there immediately to resolve it! 

There was some very unfriendly banter between two teams this week until staff got called in. Please understand that if a player has unsportsmanlike conduct that they are in jeopardy of being kicked out of not only the season, but the entire league! So again, if you are too competitive in nature, then this league is not for you.

On the upside, we are doing mad numbers at the bar! No, not the pull-up bar, we're talking about your partnered bar, your KSSC approved watering hole, Harvey's :) Don't be shy next week. Come out and enjoy our official after-party!

Welcome Kickball and Flag Football Players 

This week as everyone knows was the first week of our Fall 2014 sports. Monday of course started out as just another MANIC MONDAY. Congratulations to the Monday Kickball group for being the 1st Kalamazoo Sport & Social Club to be allowed to wear whatever they wanted to the games. But have no fear Monday group we have your shirts here in the office and will be able to be picked up Monday!

KSSC also had many new things going on this week starting with the new seasons, sports, players, teams, MV van, bar, and sponsors! We are very excited about the new beginnings we have going on.

We also like to Welcome our Pioneer's to KSSC's 1st Flag Football season!

Congrats to Tuesday and Wednesday groups for packing the bar those nights. Monday's group needs to jump on the social wagon and get to the bar! Tuesday and Wednesday nights had flip cup games going on, and it was a big party with great people!

LOVE IS IN THE AIR FOR KSSC PLAYERS AND STAFF

Many of you would enjoy this story! There is a couple that play in Monday's Kickball league that have a WONDERFUL love story thanks to KSSC! They met each other while playing against one another in Dodgeball during the Holiday season. Now can you believe it these two love birds are now ENGAGED!! On behalf of the KSSC staff we would like to Congratulate Sam Braithwaite and Jessica Broyles!

Also, we would also like to Congratulate our fellow staff members Darius Hartwell and Maria Davis on their special engagement as well! We wish you all love and happiness!

FALL 2014 SEASON

Alright my favorite ballers, whose ready for the new season?! Trust me, we here at KSSC are just as excited to start up the new season, sports, and bar!!! We know the two week break has everyone going through depression, but have no fear we start back in a few days. Hope everyone is well rested and ready to show off their skills, not only their athletic ability, but their DRINKING ability.

Don't FORGET we will be playing at Versluis/Dickinson Softball Complex and following the games we will be headed to our NEW sponsored bar Harvery's On The Mall. $6 Miller Lite Pitchers and other drink and food specials! 

Can't wait to see everyone out there kickin' and catchin' our balls.
